​Listen into Life is a four-year part-time residential intensive program in spiritual direction, with an annual intake.

An ecumenical, contemplative formation program within the Christian tradition and open to those who sense that God is calling them to the work of spiritual direction, and are looking for a community where this vocation can be explored and nurtured. ​

Designed to assist those with a heart to accompany others on their spiritual journey into the mystery and justice of God, whether they be professional ministry practitioners or those who desire to grow in their capacity to companion others more deeply. ​

Is this for me?

This program is for those who sense that God is calling them to the work of spiritual direction and are looking for a community where this vocation can be explored and nurtured.

​This formation program is designed to assist both lay and ordained people in their spiritual lives and to train them in the important work of being soul-friends to others in their journey into the mystery and the justice of God.

Details:

The program consists of four residential weekends a year for four years—February, May, August and November. Each weekend offers lectures, workshops, quadrads, peer group and worship drawing from various Christian traditions plus some online lectures and input between weekends

There are six key elements to the program:

  4. Supervision
    1. Personal Supervision
    2. Quads

  5. Worship/Prayer Experience
  6. Exploring Christian Spirituality.

Sally Jones

Program Director
Sally is a Spiritual Director, Pastoral Supervisor, and Mentor. Sally is passionate about the transformative power of deep listening, and is interested in seeing people formed and transformed, not just ‘trained’.

Kylie is a spiritual director, and is interested in spiritual formation for leaders, particularly those who work with faith based organisations.

Jenny McQuiggin

Jenny has experience in church ministry and works as a Chaplain.  As a spiritual director, Jenny values the opportunity to journey with others, particularly as they go through the challenges that life can bring.

Dieter sees his work in spiritual direction and corporate life as a ministry opportunity to companion others on their transformative life journey.

Matthew Evans

Matthew is a seasoned spiritual director, psychologist, and supervisor who is passionate about accompanying others on their life journeys. He finds joy in helping individuals reflect on their experiences, fostering a deeper connection to their spirituality and uncovering the meaning within.

​Peter has years of experience in parish ministry and pastoral care. As a spiritual director and supervisor, Peter is excited by the restorative role of listening and presence.

Liz Anne Smith

Liz Anne has experience as teacher and pastoral assistant, as well as spending many years as a University and School Chaplain. As an experienced spiritual director, formator and supervisor, she is passionate about the power of this listening ministry.

Frances is an experienced spiritual director, supervisor, formator and giver of the Ignatian spiritual exercises.  Frances has always looked for ways to find and be found by God.

Dr Anna Thompson

Anna has followed a vocational thread of ‘deep listening’. Initially this took the form of a 20 year career as a clinical psychologist. More recently the deep listening has been in the contexts of spiritual direction, qualitative research and patient advocacy.

Gary is an experienced teacher, school leader and works in the field of adult spiritual formation. As a spiritual director, Gary values the importance of listening to and accompanying another on their life journey

Jenny is a spiritual director with qualifications and experience in counselling and chaplaincy.  She loves walking alongside others in their life journey, listening deeply with them for the presence of Love and Wisdom.

Denise is a Psychologist and spiritual director. Denise has experienced listening people in her own life and is convinced of the healing power of listening and walking alongside another person.
